Master Codebreak-Out - LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Guide - IGN (2024)

Master Codebreak-Out is the third story mission in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga's Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. This walkthrough covers how to complete each of its three Level Challenges, collect all five Minikits, and earn True Jedi Rank to achieve 100%.

Master Codebreak-Out Story Walkthrough

After Finn and Rose get locked away and meet DJ, you'll need to sneakily escape from the prison.

Challenge #1: Isn't It Ironic?

Search the inner wall of the prison for a lever you can pull that will open a room filled with various breakable items. Upon destroying everything, you can build a decoy to lure two guards out of the central chamber. Avoid their cones of vision as they enter the room, and then pull the lever again to lock the door behind them, completing this challenge.

Minikit #1

Pulling another lever on the inner wall opens a room with a GONK Droid. Ride the GONK Droid around and plant it in the designated station next to one of the cells on the outer wall. With the door now open, head inside and destroy the canvas in the back left corner. From the pieces, you can build the first Minikit.

Challenge #2: Prison Break

This challenge is automatically accomplished if you complete Challenge #1, so lure the guards out with the decoy, lock them up, and as soon as you enter through the sliding door they opened, this challenge will be complete.

Minikit #2

After destroying the power source in the central chamber by jumping on the trampoline to reach the lever which deactivates its shields, you can collect your gear from the rack nearby. Bounce on the trampoline again to reach the walkway, then look up and you'll see a number of grapple points. Climb up those orange bars and reach the Minikit waiting for you at the top.

True Jedi Rank

Easily accomplishable if you actively destroy every breakable as you progress through the level (and explore every openable room/cell), obtaining 50,000 studs will earn you True Jedi Rank.

Challenge #3: Guards Down

In the final stage of the level, when the riot breaks out, you'll want to defeat 8 guards before you escape. Upon beating the eighth one, you'll complete this challenge.

Completing the Mission

After using the grapple to pull open the hatch in the floor and escape, Finn and Rose use the Fathier stables as a distraction. Meanwhile, Rey struggles to break the ice with Luke Skywalker.

Master Codebreak-Out Free Play Walkthrough

Minikit #3

Now in Free Play, progress through until the riot is triggered and most of the cell doors open. Bouncing on the trampoline back up to the higher level, you'll notice a Protocol Droid Terminal. Jump across and use a Protocol Droid to gain the Canto Bight Prison Safe password.

Jump down and one of the still locked cells on the outer wall can be opened using a lever to the left of the cell door. Once opened, head inside and interact with the Protocol Droid terminal, input the password, and the safe at the back of the cell will open to reveal the next Minikit.

Minikit #4

One of the cells that remain locked has a lever just behind the door. Switch to a Force user and lift the lever out through the door and onto the mechanism to the right.

Pull the now attached lever, head inside the cell, and use a Hero character to interact with the terminal. Upon completing the mini-game, the back wall will reveal a picture puzzle.

You'll have to make all 4 of the tiles match the same character, once for each; Han Solo, Chewbacca, Rose Tico, Maz Kenata. Upon matching all 4, the Minikit will spawn in.

Minikit #5

Another cell along the outer wall has a silver chain wrapped around a lever. Use a Villain character to throw a grenade and blow up the silver chain.

With the pieces, choose the 'Middle Pipe' option, and then pull the lever to overflow the container with the Minikit and break the glass so that you can grab it, unlocking the Libertine (Micro) in the process.
