All our bed kits are made from UK grown whitewood. Our timber is 70% mix FSC certified.
Pressure Treatment Details:
Active ingredients - copper carbonate/copper hydroxide (1:1), propiconazole, tebuconazole, didecyldimethylammonium chloride. The tanalisation process is known as "Tanalith E 8000". Our treatement process gives timber a proven performance of 5-10 years, and in many cases much longer.

How wide are the boards?
Each board in the kit is 228mm wide, which is approximately 9 inches.
Can I create double height bed kits?
Yes of course. Simply order a second kit to put on top of the first one to create your double height raised bed. You may wish to buy ourbed postsfor the corners to help put it together.
How much soil do I need to fill my raised bed kit?
This raised bed will require approximately 680 litres of soil to fill.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver nationwide with our transport partners. Delivery is added at checkout and it is based on the longest item and total weight of your basket. Simply add your email address and postcode to the postage estimator in the shopping basket to get an idea of carriage before checking out

I purchased the Raised Garden Beds Tanalised Timber in the size 2.4m (8ft) x 1.2m (4ft). But I noted there are a multitude of size options. I stacked three sets on top of each other, using long corner brackets inside, to create four high raised beds inside my polytunnel. I wanted tanalised timber to prolong the lifespan but because of that, I stapled a raised bed liner inside before filling with compost and grit. I did find the wood slightly rough but a quick sand with an electric sander smoothed out the splinters. I placed another order today for another set of three, to make one more raised bed to place outside my polytunnel.
I Bought two of these last year. They were easy to assemble and looked good. After nearly a year in my garden they are still a good condition and there are no issues to report. I'm just about to buy more.
I bought 5 of the raised bed kits and found the boards to be of a good thickness with good quality accessories to put it all together. Mine have been going strong for 3 years now, with no sign of the deterioration you get with some raised bed kits.
I bought two of these to stack, together with the heavy duty brackets and posts. They are excellent quality, fitted together well, and stacked neatly. I have high hopes they will last a good long time.
Just received 11 raised bed kits, happy to say they are cut then tantalised not the other way around like some on the market, timber quality is first class, a good thickness. They will receive rough weather here in Cornwall And I intend lining them with heavy grade polythene to give them a boost, time will tell but I suspect they will last 20 years.

With the caveat that longevity is yet to be tested, these beds are very good. Thickness of the board is exceptional. I bought 6 kits to make into 3 beds, double stacked. 18 corner posts to support. I only needed screws for the post attachment. Everything else is there and the squareness and accuracy of the cuts is spot on.
These boards are thicker than expected and the method of preservation specified. I am gradually changing all my existing beds to Scaffolding Direct ones as they come to replacement. Their expected life is some 3 times that of those I currently use. On more or less flat ground I can use one 8 x 4 bed on its own. On a slope, two 8 x 4 beds stack very successfully. They really are an excellent product.
Do these kits come with corner brackets or corner posts?. The product description says brackets but the picture shows posts.
This raised bed kit comes with corner brackets only, and does not include the posts.

The wood is 38mm thick.
If I want a deeper raised bed can I position 2 beds on top of each other? I might want to use deeper stakes and lock the sides to the stakes.

Do these have pre drilled holes for corners
On the timber there are no pre-drilled holes, but the corner kits do have pre-drilled holes.
